The Additional Superintendent of Mokokchung Police informed today the arrest of two individuals involved in motorcycle theft. On July 9, 2024, the Mokokchung Police apprehended C Khamba (23) and Pangjei Konyak (22), both residents of Ukha in Tobu District, Mon.
The police recovered two stolen motorcycles from the suspects: a Yamaha MT 15 (black and white) with registration number NL 07M 2380 and a Royal Enfield (black) with registration number AS OIPE 1351. The stolen vehicles were seized from the accused’s possession.
A criminal case has been registered against Khamba and Konyak at Police Station II Mokokchung under Case No. 0013/2024, with charges including Sections 303(2)3(5) BNS. The case is currently under investigation.
In an effort to improve vehicle theft reporting, Mokokchung Police have encouraged the public to file online complaints about stolen vehicles via the form available at https://forms.gle/VmbNSFcT3tgJiKok7, in addition to traditional physical complaints at local police stations.
