The Governor of Nagaland has issued a directive declaring June 22, 2024, as a working day specifically for offices and departments involved in election-related activities within the Municipal and Town Council areas.

In a further move to facilitate maximum participation in the electoral process, June 26, 2024, has been designated as a paid holiday. This applies to all employees of the State Government residing within the districts where elections are scheduled. Employees are encouraged to utilize this day to exercise their right to vote.

The day of polling is also declared Paid Holiday to all the employees of Banks and Financial Institutions in the Municipal and Town Council areas under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Act, XXVI) to enable them to exercise their franchise.
