As of June 11, 2024, a total of 669 candidates have filed nominations for the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) elections in Nagaland.

The candidates represent a diverse array of political affiliations, with the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) fielding the highest number of candidates at 256, followed by 210 independent candidates. Other parties in the fray include BJP with 62 candidates, INC with 43, NCP with 30, RPI(A) with 7, LJP with 6, JD(U) with 9, NPP with 21, and NPF with 24 candidates.

The gender distribution of the candidates includes 431 male and 238 female aspirants.
