Kohima, July 9 (MTNews): The 2nd edition of the Nagaland XCC Cross Country Mountain Bike Race was successfully organized by the Nagaland Mountain Biking Association (NMBA). A total of 25 cyclists participated in the 20km race which was flagged off from BSNL Office by Bolto Pusa, Advisor of the Association and culminated at Science College Ground, Jotsoma.

 

 

The title sponsor of the event was Hornbill TV, with Gear Thrills Cycling Club as the cycling club partner and Linkage Kohima as the bike shop partner.
Ankit, Nodeto Zao and Virie won the first, second and third places respectively while Victor and Kevithozo Casavi won the fourth and fifth places.

 

Meanwhile, general secretary of NMBA Atoba Longkumer has said that the association has been seeking for affiliation from the Nagaland Olympics Association which would enable it for further affiliation with the Cycling Federation of India. This would qualify Nagaland to train and send riders from the state to participate in the National Events and beyond, he added.
