Parashen, 22 March (MTNews): The Naga Students’ Federation held a symbolic prayer program today, the 22 March 2023, at Parashen, Rengma Region to commemorate Naga National Flag Hoisting Day.

 

 

The program was chaired by Benjong Longchar, Secretary, Social & Culture, NSF, and commenced with an invocation prayer led by Rite Khutsoh, former Speaker NSF.

 

NSF President, Kegwayhun Tep hoisted the Naga National Flag and delivered a brief message on the significance of the event. A minute of silence was observed in honor of the past leaders who have contributed and sacrificed towards the cause of the Naga people.

 

Short messages were also delivered by Atilo Kent, Vice President, Rengma Selo Zi, and Ajo Tsela, President, Rengma Students’ Union and culminated with a mass prayer.

 

The program was attended by NSF officials, senior leaders of NSF along with officials from various federating units of NSF and representatives from Rengma Selo Zi.

 

It may be mentioned that the first Naga National Flag was hoisted at this historic site, Parashen, located in Rengma region on the 22 March 1956.
