Chozuba, 16 April (MTNews): The 18 Chozuba AC of the Peoples’ Democratic Alliance (PDA) today appealed to the general public not to be swayed by mere information from social media and anti-party propaganda, as the NDPP-led government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is committed to protecting the Christian faith and identity of the Nagas.
This statement follows a meeting held in Kohima attended by the alliance partner party leaders from the constituency in view of the ensuing General Election to the Lok Sabha 2024 election.
The meeting, according to an update received here, also took cognizance of the ex-candidate of the LJP (RV), Dr Chotisuh Sazo, for fallout activities and demanded a clear stand of the party. They stated, “Considering the activities of the LJP (RV) party led by the Ex-Speaker, Dr Chotisuh Sazo, the members have unanimously decided to appeal to the Party high Command for a clear stand in the constituency and issue necessary directives to stop them from anti-party activities and come out with a written letter in support of the consensus candidate.”
The meeting was attended by Veprasa Nyekha, ex-candidate of NPP, Vezhosa Chuzho, president of NPF, Thupusayi Shijoh, President of BJP, and Vevohu Epao, President of NDPP from 18 Chozuba AC, in the presence of NDPP MLA and Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo.
