Tuensang, Noklak, Shamator, Zunheboto, Longleng, Mon districts, Changtongya, Tuli, Longnak, Mangkolemba sub-divisions to be affected
The Department of Power has announced a scheduled vegetation clearance for the 132kV and 66kV transmission lines under the Transmission Division Mokokchung. The maintenance work will take place from April 15 to May 17, 2025. This was informed in a press release issued by Er Hekaito Assumi, Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Mokokchung.
To ensure the smooth execution of the clearance operation, a total power shutdown will be enforced daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM during this period. According to the power department, “this exercise is necessitated with the aim to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of supply.
The Department of Power has urged the public in the affected areas to cooperate and bear with the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
