In a significant transition within the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM), Rev Ayutemjen, President of ABAM, officially handed over the responsibility of the Executive Secretary to Rev Temsü Jamir during a solemn installation program.
Rev Temsü Jamir, who hails from Chuchuyimlang village, expressed “immense joy” upon taking charge as the eighth Executive Secretary of ABAM. In his address, he conveyed deep gratitude “for the opportunity” and emphasized his “reliance on God for guidance” in his new role. “I request everyone to keep me in their prayers,” he humbly added.
Rev Temsü Jamir is married to Mrs S Amenla Lkr, and the couple is blessed with two daughters. His ministerial journey includes involvement in various ministries, most recently as Pastor of Aoyimti Baptist Church. “His contributions to the ministries he has been involved in have been significant, and we look forward to the future opportunities that await him,” noted an ABAM statement.
During the installation, Rev K Temjen Longchar, former Pastor of Khensa Baptist Church, delivered a message based on Matthew 22:31 and the following verses. He stressed that “serving God involves demonstrating true love for all people and maintaining personal integrity, which entails fearing nothing but doing what is right.” He extended his wishes to the new Executive Secretary, expressing hope “for great success in the ministry and in reaching out to those in need.”

In its message, ABAM also extended its “profound gratitude” to Rev L Yapang Mollier, Secretary of Church & Mission, who has taken on the role of Executive Secretary beginning in March 2025. “His dedication and leadership have ensured a seamless continuation of ABAM’s ministry, reinforcing our commitment to serving the community without interruption,” the statement read.
ABAM acknowledged Aoyimti Baptist Church for its generous gesture in releasing Rev Temsü Jamir to serve in the new role. “This remarkable act of kindness not only demonstrates a profound commitment to our shared values but will also significantly enhance ABAM’s reputation,” it stated.
Likewise, the organisation expressed “profound appreciation to Chuchuyimlang village for its commitment to nurturing dedicated leaders with a selfless spirit.” It added, “We eagerly anticipate a collective effort that will significantly enhance the appeal and impact of ABAM’s ministry.”
