Rs. 180 Crore approved for Special Development of Eastern Nagaland under DUDA: MDoNER

New Delhi, March 17 (MTNews): The Minister of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region G. Kishan Reddy, in a written reply in Rajya Sabha on Thursday informed that for FY 2022-23, eleven projects including the seven projects announced in Budget 2022-23, have been selected for sanction to the North Eastern Region.

 

Out of the eleven projects, an amount of Rs. 180 Crore have been approved for livelihood projects relating to Special Development of Eastern Nagaland by Department of Under Developed Areas (DUDA), Government of Nagaland; Rs. 67 Crore has been approved for NECTAR Livelihood Improvement Project: Value Chain on Utilization of Banana Pseudo Stem for Value-Added Product in multiple states.

 

For promoting scientific organic agriculture in North East India by using Improved Farming Technique and Digital Data Management through Capacity Building of Farmers and Facilitating Certification in multiple states, Rs. 45 Crore has also been approved among others.
