The Department of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change has issued a notification, amending its previous notification dated 19 March 2024. The State Government has now established Schedule Rates of Royalty and other payable fees for Areca Catechu (Betel Nut) not of local origin passing through Nagaland, effective immediately. This modification has been made in accordance with the concurrence of the Finance Department, Budget & Monitoring Cell.
The revised rates are as follows: Areca Catechu (Edible) – Supari: Rs 10 per KG; Areca Catechu (Non-Edible) – Supari (Lali): Rs 5 per KG
