Jotsoma, 25 March (MTNews): Under the aegis of Nagaland-based robotics organisation Nagabots and in collaboration with the Department of Industries & Commerce, Nagaland under the banner of “Startup Nagaland,” the state’s first robotics event, dubbed ‘TECHMORPHOSIS’, was held at Kohima Science College in Jotsoma.

To encourage technical education and creativity in Nagaland, Kohima Science College, the Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and UCO Bank collaborated on the TECHMORPHOSIS event.

 

The event was conducted on 25 March and had a total of 127 participants from 14 educational institutions in the Kohima and Dimapur districts.
As the event’s special guest, Reny Wilfred, Joint Secretary, Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), inaugurated it.

 

Er Kikrukhrielie Khezhie, the director of NAGABOTS, said the event intends to support the growth of innovation and technology in Nagaland as well as give students and enthusiasts a stage on which to demonstrate their talents. The mission of NAGABOTS is to empower and inspire Nagaland’s upcoming generation of technology leaders.

 

Winners were announced for various categories such as: RoboChamp, Scratch, App Inventor, Basic Electronics, Arduino, Innovation Challenge and Mini Hackathon (Capture the Flag).
