Mokokchung, January 29 (MTNews): Former legislator Toshipokba Longkumer, who had earlier in November joined the BJP and was reported to be seeking the BJP ticket to contest in the 26-Aonglenden AC in the ensuing general election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, has now joined the Congress party.

 

 

Ex-MLA Toshipokba Longkumer with Bobby Panicker, Working President, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) and Mokokchung District Congress Committee officials after joining the Congress party, January 29.

 

A source in the Congress party informed that Toshipokba Longkumer along with some of his supporters from 26-Aonglenden assembly constituency met Bobby Panicker, Working President, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) & Vice Chairman, North East Congress Coordination Committee (NECCC) and joined the Congress party today. The ex-MLA joined the Congress party in the presence of Mokokchung District Congress Committee (DCC) president Watimongba and other office bearers of Mokokchung DCC.
