Kohima, 30 March (MTNews): As the final day for the withdrawal of candidature for the Lok Sabha elections in Nagaland concluded on 30 March 2024, the Commissioner of Nagaland & Returning Officer Office, Kohima, Sushil Kumar Patel IAS confirmed that no candidates opted to withdraw their candidature.

The absence of withdrawals solidifies the list of candidates vying for the Lok Sabha seat. The confirmed contenders include Dr Chumben Murry representing the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), S Supongmeren Jamir from the Indian National Congress (INC), and Hayithung Tungoe Lotha running as an Independent candidate (IND).

The voting will take place on 19 April, with the vote counting scheduled for 4 June 2024.
