Two entrepreneurs introduces ‘Computer Education Centre’ in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, 2 March (MTNews): Two young entrepreneurs, Zulumanen Jamir and Shiluzenba Imsong, have introduced the first Computer Education Centre (CEC) branch in Nagaland, at Mongsenbai ward in Mokokchung town today.

According to the proprietors Zulumanen and Shiluzenba , although there are many centers in the main town offering computer courses, they have introduced this center after considering location factors and the population at the tri-junction of NH 02, NH 202, and NH 702D in Mongsenbai ward, Mokokchung. The centre is located at Toshikaba Ki, opposite Nayara Petrol Pump, Sewak Gate, Mongsenbai Ward, Mokokchung.

The centre aims to provide a Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) course for 6 months, with a course fee of Rs 6000. It has a total of 30 computers, all equipped with internet connectivity via Wi-Fi network.

Shiluzenba said they will initially provide the 6-month DCA course and that they have plans to introduce other courses later. CEC, whose head office is in Silpukhuri, Guwahati-3, Kamrup, Assam, also offers fashion designing, interior design, airlines, and beautician courses under CEC – IMFD (Institute of Management & Fashion Designing).

The Centre, according to the proprietors, will have two experienced trainers: Limatongzuk Jamir, a BBA graduate from Dimapur, also certified in a computer course, with experience in teaching computer courses in a reputed school, and Sakumeren, a civil engineering graduate from LDCE Ahmedabad, Gujarat, experienced in Basic AutoCAD, V-Ray, SketchUp, Photoshop, and STAAD pro.

“Both of them have volunteered to contribute their time and knowledge to train the learners,” Zulumanen said.

Emphasizing that the training center is open to all enthusiastic learners, Shiluzenba encouraged interested individuals to collect admission forms at the provided address or contact 8730887160 / 8730887310 during office hours. He informed that there will be two sessions: the morning session starting from 10:00 AM and the evening session from 2:00 PM.

CEC is a society under S.R. Act XXI of 1860, established on 2 May 1994 to strengthen the need for computer education in Assam. The institute caters to the need for providing training to students wishing to pursue careers in computer science, fashion designing, textile/interior designing, journalism, and other management courses. The institute also operates as a resource center, providing employment generation in the field of technical education.

Takowati, Pastor of Ungma Baptist Church, inaugurated the centre and delivered a dedicatory prayer. He emphasized the importance of certified computer training, noting its relevance in competitive exams and professional development, especially for individuals with diverse educational backgrounds.

Zulumanen Jamir, 32, is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Geography at NU and has been involved in business and entrepreneurship since his early 20s. Shiluzenba Imsong, 34, is a postgraduate in Sociology from NU making this his first venture in entrepreneurship.
