Mokokchung, 26 April (MTNews): Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh said both the Village Council and Village Development Board (VDB) are unique institutions and play an important role in the community for development and peaceful co-existence. The DC was addressing the General Conference of the VDB, Mokokchung District at Town Hall in Mokokchung today as the guest of honor.
“For the smooth functioning of both the institutions, we should know the objectives of setting up of these institutions,” the DC said, adding that the Village Council and Village Development Board are like the grassroots level planning department.
