Mokokchung, October 26 (MTNews): Despite the harsh weather and incessant rain on October 24, the NPP Kohima District Unit held a consultative meeting and picnic at Kisama, Kohima, with over 100 members from the party’s state and district units in attendance.

Officials from the NPP State Team, led by State President Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, and District Frontal Bodies, including Women and Youth Wings, also attended the meeting and picnic.
In his keynote address, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, State President of NPP Nagaland, acknowledged the NPP’s broad expansion in the state capital under the capable leadership of Dr. Keviseto Kintso, Kohima District Convenor.

The president also issued a clarion call to the party’s entire rank and file to use the NPP to bring about positive transformation in the state. He categorically stated that the word “change” has become redundant, and that real change is merely a distant dream.

According to him, the NPP’s vision is “not to bring about change” but to bring about rapid transformation in every sphere of Naga society, including the Church.

“What the Nagas need most right now are good and upright leaders; everything else will fall into place once that is in place,” he said, and stated that all political parties are good, each with their own set of visions and manifestos.

“The only thing that distinguishes them is the caliber of their leaders and members,” he added.
