As the Guest Speaker at the event, Kevidezo Peter Rutsa, Vice President of BJP Nagaland, encouraged students to prioritize their studies. He emphasized that time waits for no one and urged students not to waste their time but to dedicate themselves to their studies. He likened the process of studying to a battle, where the longer the fight, the more taxing it becomes on the mind and body.

Rutsa stressed the importance of community and encouraged students to stay connected with their community, viewing it as essential for their growth and learning process. He also expressed gratitude for the presence of various tribal students’ union bodies from Shillong and encouraged them to continue this tradition.

President of Angami Krotho Shillong, Khriesaneisa Rutsa, reminded students of the need to show gratitude and maintain good relations with the local people while studying in Shillong to pave the way for the younger generations.

He also enlightened that in 1920’s, the Angamis have started moving to Shillong to study, where in ASUS was formed 1968. Rutsa viewed that it was the elders of the Angami Community that had built a good image and relationship with the #Khasis. He therefore said, Khasis still respect the Angamis and they do not hesitate to rent their houses to the Angamis. Hence, Rutsa urged the students to be a good Ambassador of Angamis as well as #Nagas.  The President also encouraged the students of their purpose of staying in #Shillong, their priority and management of time.

Rutsa further encouraged them to keep in touch with their students’ leaders for any problems.
