Midland Ward, Kohima, received a waste segregation vehicle from the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) on Monday,August 3.

The new pickup truck, funded under the Swachh Bharat Kosh through the Urban Development Department, will be utilised by the Upper Midland sector for waste segregation activities.
KMC councillor from Midland Ward No. 9, Kekhrieselhou (Neiu) Metha, handed over the vehicle keys to Midland Council chairman Menuokholie Kire during a thanksgiving prayer programme held at Midland Community Building on August 4.
Kire thanked Metha for initiating the allotment of the vehicle to the ward. He also expressed gratitude to KMC Chairperson Neibodzelie Solo, KMC Chief Executive Officer Alemyapang Longchar and the Urban Development Department for extending the facility to Midland.
Earlier, Midland Baptist Church pastor Neisalie Rossi pronounced the dedicatory prayer.
Midland was the recipient of the Best and Cleanest Ward Award of the Kohima Municipal Council in 2024.
