Mokokchung, 4 October (MTNews): Following the successful intensive free boxing coaching camp held in the month of July this year which saw the participation of 165 participants, the Boxing Association Mokokchung (BAM) is taking another significant step to promote the sport of boxing in the district in a professional manner.
BAM has announced its next coaching camp, targeting youngsters aged 9 to 14, regardless of gender. This camp is scheduled to run from 10 to 24 October 2023, and is being organized in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources & Sports (DYRS) and the Nagaland Amateur Boxing Association (NABA).
In an update from BAM, it has been revealed that a professional boxing coach, along with two seasoned Nagaland senior boxers as assistants, will be leading the camp.
It was informed that BAM has completed the elaborate logistic arrangements for holding the camp and has already booked the spacious P Shilu Ao Park, Imkongmeren Sports Complex.
Registration for attending the upcoming camp is free, and forms will be available at Bio-Medical (Pharmacy) Imlong Place, Mokokchung. The submission of forms and registration will be done at the venue on 9 October 2023 from 3:30 p.m. onwards. It was informed that 9 October will be the only day for registration, and no new registrations will be accepted thereafter.
