Mokokchung, August 27 (MTNews): A thanksgiving program was organized at Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung on the 26th of August 2022 by the college authority to acknowledge the sincere contributions of all the stakeholders and above all the blessings of God in having achieved ‘A’ Grade during the 3rd Cycle of NAAC Accreditation earlier this year.

An update from the college said that the Principal of the college, Dr. I Wati Imchen, welcomed the gathering and acknowledged the presence of various invitees and dignitaries while also reminiscing on the challenging journey of FAC as the first college in the state to undergo the NAAC assessment. Among many others, the occasion was graced by the presence of former principals of the college Kuholi Chishi, also former Director, Higher Education; Chubayangla; S. Arenla Lkr; Helen Jamir; Dr. Temjenwabang and other retired faculty of the college.

 

In his speech, Dr. Temjenwabang, during whose tenure the 3rd Cycle of NAAC was completed, thanked all the individuals, groups, churches, organizations, and stakeholders for coming together and playing a big role in the success story of the college. The Former Director and Principal, Kuholi Chishi, also shared her experiences and challenges faced during the 1st Cycle of NAAC Accreditation while she was the principal of the college. Dr. Lanurenla, Coordinator, IQAC presented on the entire journey undertaken by the institution to overcome and conquer the 3rd Cycle of NAAC Assessment.

 

Shashank Pratap Singh (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, who was also present during the occasion extended his congratulations while representatives from the Ao Senden and Chuchuyimpang Village also delivered short speeches reaffirming their continued support towards the institution.

 

The program started with a prayer by Rev. Lima Lemdur, Pastor, Union church FAC. Students from the Department of Ao presented a special song and the thanksgiving prayer was pronounced by Mr. Temsuwati Pongen, Asso. Pastor, Mokokchung Baptist Church. The program was chaired by Ms. Bendangsenla, Assistant Professor, Dept. of English.
