Mokokchung, 15 October (MTNews): Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change and Village Guard, CL John has called for the conservation and protection of Amur falcons, referring to these magnificent birds as “honored winged guests.” As part of its annual migration, millions of Amur Falcons will be roosting in Nagaland for the next one month or so from now onwards.

The Forest Minister emphasized the importance of safeguarding the Indo-Myanmar biodiversity and urged citizens to play an active role in preserving these remarkable creatures. Minister CL John highlighted that the responsibility for conserving and ensuring the sustainability of the region’s wildlife lies with every citizen. He underscored the vital role that each individual can play in protecting these migratory birds, which pass through the region during their long journeys.
