Nagaland Governor, Nand Kishore Yadav, visited Phek district on April 15 and held an interactive session with civil society organisations. He also conducted a review meeting with various government departments at the DC’s Conference Hall, Phek.

In his address at the civic reception programme held at the DC’s Conference Hall, the Governor expressed his sincere gratitude to the district administration, community leaders, civil society organisations, and the people of Phek for the warm reception and gracious hospitality extended to him.
The Governor spoke about the rich culture, traditions, and heartfelt spirit of the people of Phek. He stated that he is firmly committed to working with all sections of society, including public representatives, tribal bodies, civil society organisations, and the administration, to build a peaceful, developed, and inclusive state. He added that his visit was aimed not only at understanding the developmental needs and aspirations of the district but also at strengthening cooperation and collective responsibility.
Later, the Governor conducted a review meeting with district departments. The Departments of Health & Family Welfare, School Education, and Rural Development presented their ongoing activities, schemes, and achievements through PowerPoint presentations.
During the interactive session, the Governor commented on the presentations and encouraged the departments to work with sincerity and dedication for public welfare.
President of the Chakeshang Public Organisation (CPO), Vezuhu Keyho, delivered a speech on behalf of the community. Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS, delivered the welcome address.
