Lumami, 23 January (MTNews): The much-anticipated ICT Workshop on ‘Capacity Building’ for Academic & Non-Academic Staff & Officers of Nagaland University commenced its inaugural session on Monday at the university headquarters in Lumami. This collaborative initiative is organized by Nagaland University in partnership with the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA).

Distinguished scholar Prof. K Srinivas, Head of the ICT Project Management Unit and Chairperson of the eLearning Cell at NIEPA, New Delhi, will lead the training sessions throughout the two-day workshop. The Inaugural Session was graced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. J K Patnaik, who delivered an opening address highlighting the significance of capacity building in the realm of education.

Other dignitaries present during the inaugural session included Registrar Dr Abemo, Dean Prof. V K Vidyarthi, Finance Officer Mr N Albert Khizho, COE Mr Yanrenthung Ezung, and various faculty members and non-teaching staff as active participants.

The workshop, guided by the vision of enhancing technological expertise, aims to provide valuable insights into computer technology for the academic and non-academic staff and officers of Nagaland University. Nodal Officer Mr Kahoshe Sumi expressed optimism about the workshop’s positive impact, stating that it will undoubtedly empower participants with a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of computer technology.

As the sessions unfold over the next two days, attendees can expect to gain practical knowledge, hands-on experience, and valuable skills that will contribute to their professional development, an update from the PRO Nagaland University said.

The two-day ICT Capacity Building Workshop organized by Nagaland University in partnership with the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) was held on 23-24 January 2024.
