Imchen’s Custom Art School, in collaboration with the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) Nagaland State NPP, celebrated World Music Day with a creative painting competition at AG Colony Council Hall, Kohima.
Moa Imchen, proprietor and 3D architectural designer, shared that “music transcends boundaries and unites people globally.” The event featured a vibrant art competition, described as a “symphony of colours.” Imchen also highlighted how art and craft activities enhance mental and physical well-being, cognitive development, and life skills. He added that these are “not just enjoyable pastimes, but also valuable tools for personal growth and learning.”
The school, he noted, is inclusive and offers opportunities for all students, including Children with Special Needs (CwSN). A new 3D architectural design course has been introduced for both junior and senior categories.
Imchen encouraged participants to develop their talents and explore professional art careers, emphasizing their potential for success.
Advocate Imchayanger Pongen also encouraged young artists to strive for excellence and professionalism.
Nicky Nongkhlaw, National President of NPYF, NPP, highlighted music as a universal language that fosters creativity, discipline, and emotional well-being. He appreciated the role of collaborating institutions, including Note Grid School of Mokokchung and the Institute of Music Education Dimapur.
