Rajasthan, 31 March (MTNews): 12-year-old Kinayala Aier, a Class 7 student at Christian Higher Secondary School in Dimapur, earned a bronze medal in the current 5th National Cadet Kyorugi and Poomsae Taekwondo Championship, which is being held in Kota, Rajasthan from 28 to 31 March.

 

 

 

Aier is the first female to represent Nagaland in the Poomsae event and earn a medal under Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA).

 

Manong Konyak (under 41 kg) bronze medal, Thongti (under 45 kg) bronze medal, and Lhongkan (under 57 kg) bronze medal are the other medalists from Nagaland.

 

Nagaland is represented by seven players in the current competition, which is being managed by Coach Anirudra and Team Manager Limatula.

 

The players include, cadet boys’ team –Lensethong (under 37 kg), Manong (under 41 kg), Thingti (under 45 kg), Manhei Konyak (under 49 kg), Lhuvosayi Vasa (under 53 kg) and Lhongkan (under 57 kg), while the lone cadet girl is Kinayala Aier (under 49 kg).
