Wabang Kichu from Lijaba Lijen Ward, Walunila from Penli Ward, Maongtula Longchar from Alempang Ward, Imtiyapang from Aongza Ward, and Imkongchuba A from Dilong Ward were declared elected unopposed today. All five elected councilors are from the NDPP.
With the lapse of the deadline for the withdrawal of nominations today, 18 June, elections for the remaining 13 wards under MMC will be held on 26 June.
