Mokokchung, 15 January (MTNews): In a quest for practical knowledge, a group of 42 enthusiastic Class 12 students, specializing in the ITeS (Vocational) subject, accompanied by their dedicated teachers Mr Jason, Ms Aien, and Mr Tali from Queen Mary Hr Sec School, Mokokchung, recently undertook an educational excursion to the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) in Chuchuyimlang, Mokokchung.

The visit aimed to immerse the students in the world of electronics and information technology, and the group was warmly welcomed by the principal and staff of NIELIT.
“NIELIT is renowned for its cutting-edge research and development in electronics and information technology. The students had the opportunity to witness first-hand the latest advancements and innovations in these fields,” stated an update from the school.

During the visit, the staff at NIELIT offered insights into the components of computers and introduced the students to cutting-edge technology like the Internet of Things (IoT). The principal took the opportunity to showcase NIELIT’s diverse activities and the array of courses available for students interested in pursuing a career in these dynamic fields.

Interactive workshops, facilitated by NIELIT professionals, covered topics ranging from basic electronics to the latest trends in information technology, as per the update.

“A highlight of the trip was the hands-on experience in NIELIT’s state-of-the-art laboratories. Students were able to experiment with advanced equipment under the guidance of experienced instructors,” it added.

Expressing their appreciation for the well-organized and informative trip, it said that both students and teachers found the experience to be enlightening and inspiring, providing valuable insights into potential career paths in electronics and information technology.

“The educational trip to NIELIT proved to be an enriching experience, aligning with our School’s commitment to fostering practical learning opportunities. We extend our gratitude to the staff at NIELIT for their hospitality and valuable contributions to our students’ education.

Special thanks to Superintendent of Police for providing a police bus for transportation and the school authority for granting us to go for a field trip,” stated the update.
