MoS Narayanaswamy launches Wokha SAATHI – an AI Powered district WhatsApp chatbot

Wokha, 20 May (MTNews): Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, A Narayanaswamy visited Wokha on 19 May to review the centrally sponsored schemes under the Wokha district.

 

 

During his visit, the Minister launched the Wokha SAATHI Chatbot Single Point Hub for Citizen Service at the Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Wokha. SAATHI Chatbot is an innovative initiative aimed at enhancing citizen-government interaction and service delivery through the implementation of a conversational Al based chatbot operating on the Whatsapp channel (Whatsapp No.7005577231).

 

 

The minister also visited Longsa village and had interaction with the public leaders, village council, and Self Help Groups and enquired whether all the centrally sponsored schemes are reaching their doorsteps. He said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is very keen to develop the North-Eastern part of India, which is why the government of India gives special attention to the region and has been monitoring all the centrally sponsored schemes and programs to ensure they are properly implemented to benefit the general public.

 

Longsa Village Council submitted a memorandum to the MoS for widening and blacktopping of Longsa village road covering about 3 KM and one RCC bridge.

 

Later after his visit to Longsa village, the Minister also had an interaction with all the Heads of Offices under the Wokha district which are implementing centrally sponsored schemes. The Department of Health & Family Welfare, RD, PHED, Water Resources, Social Welfare, PHE, and Road & Bridges highlighted to the visiting Minister the various centrally sponsored schemes which are taken up and ongoing projects under their respective departments.

 

A Narayanaswamy urged all the departments to strictly follow the guidelines and ensure that schemes are effectively implemented so that the public is benefitted. He also directed all officers to be sincere and dedicated to discharging their assigned responsibilities in order to achieve the goals and desires of the Government.
