A programme on the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam was organised at Nagaland University on April 13, with participation from faculty members, staff and students.

The programme was led by Prof. Kilangla Jamir, Dean, School of Science, and Prof. Wangshimenla, Dean, Student Welfare. Around 150 to 200 participants, including women faculty, non teaching staff, research scholars and undergraduate and postgraduate students, attended and actively engaged in the proceedings.

Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Abemo, Registrar, conveyed their best wishes and congratulated the organisers for the successful conduct of the programme.

The theme, “Campus to Parliament: Inspiring the Next Generation of Women Leaders,” emphasised the importance of empowering women and encouraging their participation in leadership and decision making roles.

A resolution was adopted reaffirming the collective responsibility to build an inclusive and progressive society where women are equal partners in shaping the future.

Participants also took a pledge to uphold equality, dignity and empowerment, and to support greater participation of women in leadership.

The programme concluded on a positive note, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing gender equality.
