Following the NDPP Legislature Party meeting today, where the house unanimously elected Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as leader of the NDPPLP, former Chief Minister of Nagaland TR Zeliang told Northeast Live that the party has resolved to continue their alliance with BJP.

He also informed that a joint meeting between the NDPP and BJP will be conducted in a day or two where few leaders will be called to Delhi.

He informed that the formation of government will tentatively take place on March 7 and, therefore, the swearing in ceremony will take place on March 7.

“Within a day or two, the BJP high command and our leaders will meet but I don’t know whether I will meet or not. So far, I don’t have any information. It all depends on our president and our leader,” Zeliang said.
