Rajeshwari Karuna School Tuli (RKS) held its much-anticipated Annual Cultural Day Program on 19th October 2024, a vibrant cultural celebration that brought together students, parents, and two guest schools: Royal Knight Academy and Mary Mead GMS Luyong, to honor and showcase cultural diversity. The event provided an opportunity to highlight the rich cultural traditions of the community while emphasizing the importance of education, customs, and collaboration.
The program began with a formal ceremony featuring a series of lively performances, including traditional dances, songs, and war dances that reflected the rich heritage of various cultural groups. Invited students from guest schools participated, showcasing their own traditions and adding to the atmosphere of unity. The involvement of parents was one of the most notable aspects of the program, as some parents and guardians donned traditional attire, adding authenticity and warmth to the event.
In addition to the performances, a stall exhibition area was set up by students with the help of teachers, where visitors could engage in various games and enjoy a variety of food delicacies while socializing.
R Atsung, a teacher at Mary Mead GMS Luyong, commented, “The collaboration between the schools was a key feature of the event, and through this collaboration, it has fostered cultural understanding and respect for one another.”
The event was a resounding success, filled with colorful costumes, live music, and cultural exchange—a day that will be remembered as a key milestone in fostering cultural pride and unity.
