Kohima, 13 June (MTNews): The reserve bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday opened its sub-office in Kohima.

 

With this, the RBI now has offices in six of the Northeast states – Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland.

 

The RBI is reported to open a similar office in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh soon.

 

CM Rio says financial institutions play a pivotal role in growth of economy

 

 

Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Dr Michael Debabrata Patra and his team today called on Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. Rio in a tweet said financial institutions play a pivotal role in the growth of the economy. Rio added that, with the inauguration of the RBI branch office in Kohima, the State will greatly benefit from its operational facilities.
