The NDPP Mokokchung region president asserted that the setback in the recent Lok Sabha polls will have no impact on the upcoming ULB election as the matters are now “localized.”

Meanwhile, sources from the NDPP refuted reports of discontent within the NDA due to the alleged BJP’s exclusionary approach. “The Chief Minister went to attend the Parliamentary meeting, and he attended it today. There is no growing rift within the NDA, and CM Rio and the alliance are intact,” the source said. This was further reiterated by the NDPP Mokokchung Region president.

Chief Minister Rio also took to X (formerly Twitter), where he congratulated PM-designate Narendra Modi on being unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA. “The people of India have given their mandate to the NDA Govt. I assure you of the State’s full cooperation and support in nation-building and further improving the welfare of citizens,” the Chief Minister added.
