Kohima, 13 May (MTNews): The Ura Academy (UA) is scheduled to organize the 53rd Tenyidie Annual Seminar from 24-26 May under theme ‘Mother Tongue: The power of our thought’ at Ura Academy Hall, Mission Compound, Kohima.

 

A press release issued by the organizers informed that the inaugural session on 24 May will be graced by Tenyimi People’s Organization (TPO) as guest of honour and the TPO president Timikha Koza will address the inaugural session while exhortation will be delivered by Deo Nukhu, Member, Board of Directors, Ura Academy.

 

On 25 May, there will be orientation programs wherein keynote address will be delivered by Kikruneinuo Liezietsu, Joint Secretary, Ura Academy while the resource persons will be Prof. Buno Liegise, HoD Department of Education, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema; Dr Khotole Khieya, Associate Professor, Department of Education, Nagaland University Kohima Campus, Meriema; Dr Metseilhouthie Mor, Asst Professor, Pfütsero Govt College, Phek; and Vizonyü Liezietsu.

 

Meanwhile, the Directorate of School Education has directed all Modern Indian Language (MIL) Tenyidie and Nagaland Heritage Studies Tenyidie Teachers to participate in the said program.

 

On 26 May, Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho (TKK) conference will be held wherein competitions on debate, essay writing, choir, poetry writing and story writing among high schools and higher secondary schools will be held. Project Director of TaFMA, Dr Hovithal Sothu will address the gathering on the importance of music and its scope.

 

Later in the evening, a valedictory function of the three-day event will be held which will be presided by Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu, President, Ura Academy and Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie, Treasurer of Ura Academy.

 

Further, the organizers have requested the Tenyidie well-wishers, elders, teachers, church leaders, student bodies and organizations to be a part of the program.
