The weeklong 52nd Sports Meet of Kutsapo Sports Association (KSA) commenced on December 12 at Kutsapo village in Phek district.
Gracing the inaugural session as the guest speaker, Kupota Khesoh, ex-NDPP candidate for the 19th Phek Assembly Constituency, stated that sports is gaining popularity in Nagaland and encouraged the youth to strive for excellence. He expressed happiness over the rapid improvement of sports trends within the 52 years of KSA, noting that many participants have competed at the state and national levels over the years.
He called upon sports enthusiasts to remain committed to their respective fields and work hard to bring laurels to their community, area, district, state, and the country as a whole.
K Shievotso Rhakho, chairman of the Kutsapo Village Council, also spoke at the inaugural session.
The inaugural session was chaired by KSA Vice President Kukhosa Rhakho, while greetings were shared by Veduyi Rhakho, chairman of K Khuno Village Council. KSA President Rukuto Rhakho delivered the presidential address, and KSA General Secretary Thujoneyi Sapuh administered the oath to the players.
The meet will continue until December 17.
