The Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) on Saturday flagged off its publicity campaign for the Silver Jubilee edition of the Dr T Ao Trophy Inter-District Football Championship, with tournament stickers being rolled out as part of the campaign.
The campaign was flagged off at the Commissioner’s Guest House, Mokokchung, in the presence of Advisor Temjenmenba, DC Mokokchung Ajit Kumar Verma IAS, Senior SP Mokokchung Vesupra Kezo and MDFA officials.
The publicity drive is aimed at building awareness around the tournament ahead of its Silver Jubilee edition, scheduled to begin on October 12 at Renpo Lu, Ungma.
As part of the campaign, MDFA invited the Mokokchung Taxi Union and Scooty Taxi Union to participate, requesting five vehicles from each union to be represented at the flag-off program.
The Dr T Ao Trophy will bring together 17 district teams for the 2026 edition, with Mokokchung set to host the tournament.
