The Naga People’s Front (NPF) organised a prayer fellowship for theological students from the Tangsa, Nocte, Wancho and Tutsa communities of Arunachal Pradesh who are pursuing studies in Nagaland.
The programme was held at Hotel Season, Chümoukedima, as part of an initiative to support and encourage students from neighbouring Naga communities. The fellowship began with Scripture Reading and Invocation by Atoi, Associate Pastor (Women), KBCC.
Bursaries were distributed to the students under the NPF Bursary Project, while Pastor Apong of YBC, Chümoukedima offered a special prayer for the students’ studies and future ministry.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Anon Arangham of UCTM, Chümoukedima expressed gratitude to the NPF for the support.
NPF Vice President (COB) Kekongchim Yimkhiung said the party, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, President Achumbemo Kikon and Secretary General, reaches out to Nagas beyond state boundaries.
He said the NPF represented not only a political party but also a Naga identity rooted in shared culture and history. He encouraged the students to promote Nagaism and unity among Naga communities in Arunachal Pradesh, while preserving their shared identity.
The initiative, he said, reaffirmed the NPF’s commitment to supporting theological students and strengthening fellowship among Naga communities across state boundaries.
The programme was chaired by NPF Vice President (COB) H. Angnyei Konyak and concluded with his remarks.
