Altogether 17 Male and 5 Female candidates are participating in this program. Except for a lone participant from Zunheboto district, all the others are from Mokokchung district. The program is designed for six days with practical lessons on the field and theory classes, which will be held indoors. After the completion of training, those candidates who qualify in both the theory and practical exams will be awarded AIFF ‘D’ Coaching Certificate.

According to Aretshilu, Vice President MDFA, this ‘D’ Coaching Certificate Course is a nascent project in the district. With only four trained coaches registered under MDFA thus far, he is optimistic that the new batch of coaches will play a vital role in the development of players and the game under MDFA. The association assured necessary support to the aspiring coaches after the training program.

Meanwhile, Rev. Ponen Longchar, Pastor MTBA thanked the MDFA and Nagaland Football Association for recommending the project to AIFF without which it would not have been a success. He wished the participants success and prayed for divine blessings. The camp is organized and sponsored by Mokokchung Town Baptist Church with a motive to develop skills and encourage those who aspire to become football coaches.
