Wokha, 10 February (MTNews): Wokha Police, under the aegis of the Superintendent of Police, organized a drawing / painting competition on 10 February 2024 as part of month-long National Road Safety Month 2024 program.

The event was held at Regimental School DEF Wokha, where the competition was organized on the theme “Be A Road Safety Hero.”

K Soriso NPS, Addl. Superintendent of Police, Wokha spoke on the need and importance of road safety measures to be followed by each and every individual in order to avoid loss of life, injuries, damage to properties etc. He encouraged all participating students to be an ambassador for road safety by sharing their knowledge gained to all their loved ones and friends.

Chumben Odyuo of Don Bosco Hr. Secondary School bagged the first prize in the competition.

Shanchobeni Yanthan and Tsanthungo Kinghen, both of Regimental School DEF Wokha, were placed in second and third places respectively. All winners and participants were given cash awards and certificates which were presented by K Soriso NPS.
