As the Congress-BJP manifesto debate escalates with BJP State Media Cell convener Sapralu Nyekha challenging the Congress to a manifesto debate and All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary in-charge of communications and MP (RS) Jairam Ramesh accepting the BJP’s challenge, the Nagaland Assembly Election 2023 has seen a lot of political drama unfold.

In the midst of all of this, the Neiphiu Rio-led Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has released its manifesto “Nagaland – Towards a State of Excellence,” today in which the party claims that it will work on five principles: responsibility, accountability, awareness, impartiality, and transparency, including a special emphasis on ‘Eastern Nagaland’.

The manifesto includes proposals such as establishing world-class educational institutions, developing a strong healthcare system, modernizing agriculture and encouraging entrepreneurship, building high-quality infrastructure, and creating new job opportunities.

The NDPP has vouched for transparency and good governance in its manifesto, highlighting that the names of contractors and monitor engineers will be posted on prominent signboards so that the reputation and image of the concerned persons are available to the public.

In terms of connectivity, the NDPP manifesto stated that it will pursue a regional airline that connects within the region as well as within the state, which will be explored through a public-private partnership (PPP) mode with fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter service. The party also hopes to pursue the introduction of international flights from Dimapur, such as flights to Myanmar and Thailand.

In terms of public transportation, the NDPP has stated that each bus station will have medical centers and breathe analyzer centers for monitoring drivers, as well as the possibility of converting the State NST into a corporation.

The manifesto stated that Smart and Green villages will use renewable energy to reduce overall carbon footprint, which will reflect positively on the national and international outlook while all district hospitals will be upgraded and specialized departments established, as well as a Super Specialty Hospital with a focus on cancer treatment.

According to the manifesto, efforts are being made to implement the Register for Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN) as soon as possible.

The NDPP has also focused on the press, where they hope to establish a Press Club facility and enhance the Nagaland Journalists Welfare Scheme.

The manifesto also emphasized sports promotion, stating that a sports university will be pursued and a separate full-fledged engineering wing for sports development will be established. The exclusive Police Sports Battalion will also be upgraded and expanded, according to the manifesto.

The manifesto stated how committed they are to strictly implement the provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 and has highlighted the interests of promoting women, culture, and cuisine. It also stated that a high-powered body will be established to monitor the manifesto’s implementation on a periodical basis.

Some agendas mentioned in the manifesto for Eastern Nagaland include the establishment of a Mini-Secretariat for the Eastern Nagaland region, the development of an overall connectivity plan that includes surface transportation, air connectivity, and rail lines supported by reliable internet and telecommunications connectivity, and the promotion of Longwa village as a tourism destination.

I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You might peek at Yahoo’s home page and see how they createwrite post headlines to get viewers to click. You might add a video or a pic or two to get readers interested about what you’ve written. Just my opinion, it might bring your postsblog a little livelier.
