Table toppers Revenant FC continued to dominate the board at the top of the table as second placed Trebuchet FC were held by a resurgent Senso SC today. Revenant FC came back from behind to avoid a seemingly forgone defeat in a dramatic turnaround against New Ecclesia to register a hard-found 5-4 win.
Moakaba opened the account for Revenant in the 14th minute but Arishilu netted three goals in eight minutes while Pangertemsu scored another goal to give New Ecclesia a 4-1 lead. Arishilu scored in the 22, 25, and 30 minutes to complete his hat trick while Pangertemsu scored in the 33rd minute. Mayangnok scored for Revenant in the 41st minute and the score line remained 4-2 in favor of New Ecclesia at half-time.
Revenant FC, however, recovered from the first-half debacle as they reorganized to not only cancel the deficit but also score the decisive winning goal to maintain their position at the top.
Rongsenchiba scored twice in the 58th and 70th minutes to seal the deal for his team. Moakaba also scored his second goal of the match in the 66th minute to equalize the deficit. Had New Ecclesia pulled off a win today, they would have moved up to second position in the table. With the win, Revenant FC are now 4 points clear of the second placed team Trebuchet FC.
In the second match of the day, Wasang FC and Terokroker FC settled for a 2-2- draw to share the points. The two teams languishing at the bottom of the table could not take home all points from the game. Both teams are with just 4 points each after 6 games, with Wasang FC ahead of Terokroker FC on goal difference.
Meshenshinba (4 minutes) and Tiasunep (62 minutes) were the goal scorers for Terokroker FC while Chuba Phom (11 minutes) and Tia Yaden (37 minutes) scored for Wasang FC.
The third match of the day played between Trebuchet FC and Senso FC ended in a goalless draw.
