Nagaland’s CAWD and Taxes Advisor Kudecho Khamo has asked all town council administrations in Phek district to ensure judicious utilization of funds received from the government for the development of towns.

Khamo, who is also Chairman of DPDB Phek, said this during a DPDB meeting held at the DC’s Conference Hall in Phek on April 14. The activities and achievements of the three town councils and urban bodies were highlighted through PowerPoint presentations by the respective chairpersons and administrative officers.
Rhosietho Nguori, Deputy Commissioner of Phek, also expressed concern over the responsibilities of urban bodies and town councils in ensuring development. He urged all stakeholders to maintain transparency for the betterment of citizens.
On office attendance, the Deputy Commissioner informed that group-wise inspections of government offices will begin from the first week of May 2026.
The Phek DPDB also conferred awards for the cleanest town and village in the district. Chozuba Town Council and Pfutseromi Village Council were adjudged the cleanest town and village respectively.
The meeting further deliberated on the recently launched Livestock Insurance scheme, which was presented by Dr Velilu Epao, VAS, Phek, through a PowerPoint presentation.
